Glad to see a company that still makes hooks with 6x long shanks(most folk will only go up to 4x long), although they're not the 10x long hooks called for in the recipes, these are great for the traditional Carrie Stevens streamers.
I really like these hooks for streamer and bucktail tying in size 10, 8, and 6, so I decided to get #4 as well. Something strange is that in #4, the hooks DO NOT follow the same shape and proportions as the smaller sizes. The number 4 hooks are ROUND bend and proportionally the same as the 2220 4xl hook. I don't understand why this is, unless there was a packaging error at Daiichi... again the smaller sizes are great, but I can't rate these as 5 star because of the weirdness at size 4.
I tie all my streamers and bucktails on 6X hooks and these are by far my favorite. They are extremely sharp and strong. I wish they came in a 7X long.
