Description

Coarse, spikey and translucent. The best substitute for baby seal, and ideal for stoneflies. Also best on large nymphs, salmon, steelhead flies. Great for blending with other dubbings.

Angora Goat Dubbing

I ordered some of this in black to tie stoneflies. It is definitely the coarsest, most spikey dubbing I've ever used. At first I had trouble, but once mixed and applied using a dubbing loop or split-thread method it worked great. If you want long, buggy looking dubbing, this is it. Beautiful stuff.

Stone dubbing

Reviewer: A viewer from Gainesville, FL US

I just tied my first stonefly nymphs, I used the angora goat dubbing and found that when mixed with just a little of the Antorn dubbing goes on fantastically without having to use a dubbing loop. Makes for a very spikey nymph.

Perfect for larger flies

Reviewer: A viewer from Pecs, Baranya HU

I tied salmon size flies of these dubbings and works very fine. Nice colours, long hairs in it, easy to make longer noodles.

Nice look, but difficult to work with

Reviewer: A viewer from Grand Rapids, MI US

Angora has a great look, but I found the fibers difficult to work with. They are long and so soft that even with wax I could not get an even body.

great for stoneflies

Reviewer: A viewer from Clarks Summit, PA US

this is by far my favorite dubbing for the "big nasties", such as hellgrammites, dragonfly and stonefly nymphs, makes great, buuy flies.
