This is my first UPG fly box. I got it for holding pike streamers such as Deceivers (up to 6" long) as well as an assortment of my larger Clousers, Woolly Buggers, Zonkers, and a few hair bugs. The foam holds the flies securely in place. The colour of the box is actually a bit darker blue than the photo would suggest but it is still very translucent. My wife says the box is "the prettiest fly box" she has ever seen but I am not sure if that is good or bad. The box does contain two Zerust tabs (one per side) to help keep your hooks rust free. The rubber rings (to seal out water) appear robust but only time will tell how well they actually work. The box opens easily and closes with a muffled "snap" sound. It is a big box so for most anglers opening or closing the box is going to be a two-handed operation. The hinge side has a small, built-in loop (not obvious from the photos unless you are looking for it) so you can tether the box thus avoiding the sick-to-the-stomach feeling you get when you watch your box full of painstakingly hand-tied flies float away from you down river :-( The box appears to be well made and has tons of room but it is a bit heavy. I do not have large hands so I had a hard time deciding between this 'Streamer' model and the 'Double Wide' model. I am glad I chose 'Streamer' because it is already quite deep and I think the extra depth of the Double Wide would make it too cumbersome for me.
