I learned the hard way!

The product itself is fantastic, but keep in mind, it becomes hard when exposed to air. Even for about 10 minutes at a time, i still caught it beginning to set up. Once I got it on the rod though it worked great and worked well as a low- building finish.
Great except for the cap

This product works exactly as it says it does. It crates a beautiful clear glossy finish. However, I did have a problem with the cap on the bottle. It cracked in half after my second application. The directions recommend placing the product in an airtight container and storing it in a refrigerator and knowing this I simply grabbed a mason jar and the product kept fine. I would definately use this again but will pour it into another container first.
excellent stuff easy to use

I have found this product to be very easy to use and seals the wraps on my rods very well. If you don't want a huge buildup of finish on your wraps but want them to be sealed this is the stuff. I put 5-10 coats on and it drys very fast and puts a shine like no other. The best part is no mixing needed just use straight out of the bottle.
Great Finish, IF handled correctly!!

This finish is terrific, I use it mainly for feather inlays, and I put a few coats on my guide wraps before the Epoxy. I only gave it 3 stars because it is "activated" by air. So you have to be VERY careful not to leave the bottle open but only for a short time!!! If it is left open to long, or the cap/lid isnt put on tight the finish will dry in the bottle Quick!!! I learned this the hard way!! My first time using it on a build, I ended up buying 3 bottles for 1 single Rod build! 1 bottle will do several rods, but it has to be kept air tight!! Other than that this finish is awesome!! Works for "sealing" feather inlays, putting a few coats on guide wraps before epoxy will seal the wrap and "lock" the thread in place. And you can even wipe it on an entire "flat finish" blank to give it a "Glossy" finish!!
