TMC 2488 Nymph Fly Hook

I use the 2488H for tying egg flies for Steelhead. I find that the 2488H works best. You need a heavy wire hook for Steelhead. I noticed you don’t offer a 2488H. You should.

This fly is my favorite midge hook. Period. And I have been looking for a hook to replace it for several years. Why? I just think tmc hooks are over priced. This hook is around $30 per hundred. There are other companies out that make hooks just as good as tmc for less. But they don't make THIS hook. This hook is strong all the way down to 26. This hook is just about perfect. I would like to see the eye a tad bigger in the smallest sizes (22 and down). I look for J. Stockard sales on tmc hooks and I stock up. But purely rating the hook itself, its my favorite hook on the market. And no, over 10 years and I still haven't found a replacement.
