Amazing/ Best buy *****

I would give this TFO BVK a 10+ but the scale only goes to 5!!I built a great 7wt rod for steelhead, bass, trout and small salmon, I took it out to the Columbia river and tested it for distance, accuracy and roll casting ability, this rod does it all with unbelievable ease, this is absolutely a high end fly rod, steelhead opens up in a month here it should be a good test for this rod on the smaller streams, I will be using a sink tip and large streamers for the steelhead, I also overlined this with an 8wt line as a test and it casted it with complete ease, I for one am very impressed with the BVK, it has done everything I have asked it to do and more.

4 weight

Reviewer: A viewer from Stonewall, MB CA

I already own a factory-prepared 7 weight BVK, so I knew what to expect from this 8'6" 4 pce. 4 wt blank. Fast, light and responsive.
Couple quality issues I had however.
The tip top is listed as a 3.5, however it appears it's actually a 4. Not sure if this is a typo in the spec sheet, manufacturing out of tolerances, or if the tip top I received was incorrect.
One other issue is the ferrules.
They are rather ragged - not straight-cut at all. One of the female ferrules is also quite rough internally, as it scratched the finish of the mating male end.
Doesn't appear to affect performance, but expected more from TFO.
Overall reasonably satisfied, not overwhelmingly so.

inexpensive cannon

nice and straight. clean finish. very powerful. overall light weight but feels tip heavy to me. I can feel it after a long day of casting. best bang for the buck that I know of for a blank of this quality.
