Bring out your creative genius. Use this product a few times and there'll be no end to the ideas for use. Dries clear and hard, but not until you tell it to with any UV source. Has a fair amount of surface tension to keep it in place and form rounded shapes if you want, yet give it a couple minutes before lighting it up and it will penetrate thread wraps. There's a thick formula also that keeps the shape of your application longer without penetrating. If Michelangelo had found this stuff he might of amounted to something.

This is the variety you want for Copper Johns

Reviewer: from South-eastern PA, USA

I've tried all of the varieties of SolarEZ that JStockard offers, and will be placing an order shortly for the Thin Hard (the "big blue bottle"), but if you are wondering what variety to try for Copper Johns, I'll save you some time: Even though this is called "thin", it does the job and doesn't soak into the materials like water would... it forms the bubble for the wing case as desired, in the most perfect of ways. What makes SolarEZ different from other UV glues is that it cures in like 5 to 10 seconds, and is completely tack-free when cured. If you've used other UV glues, you may have noticed that when cured, say with Bug Bond for example (which is a great product, I am just using them for comparison) the bug bond is hard yet has a slight tack to it when cured. This stuff, the SolarEZ, doesn't have that tack. It is virtually as clear as glass, virtually being the key word, but it is as close as I've found. It truly is remarkable. If you get the plastic bottle, and it gums up on you, here's a trick: now you can only do this with the plastic bottle (don't try it with the metal tube or you'll have a fun fireworks display...) but uncap the tube, place in the microwave for 10 seconds, recap, shake vigorously, and it returns to its original liquid state. It is written to do this, on the Bone Dry ultra thin bottle (the black bottle) but it works just a well for the thin (the big blue bottle). Don't do it for the glow variety, though, due to the glow chemicals themselves - i don't know if it is safe or not, but regardless of that, I've found it kills the glow of the product to do that. But this review isn't about the glow, it is about the thin, the "big blue bottle". And I must say, this is by far my favorite UV glue for the bubbles on the wing cases of copper johns and like nymphs. Give it a try, you'll be pleasantly surprised.
