Ultimate Epoxy is a 2 component Epoxy gel specifically designed for the demands of adhering fishing rod components. Unlike many gelled epoxies with fillers which can reduce strength, Ultimate Epoxy takes advantage of special thickening agents which have no effect on the inherent strength or flexibility of the cured epoxy. Designed for adhering parts which do not have optimum fit, or may require the filling of slight gaps, Ultimate Epoxy provides excellent wetting characteristics without sagging, and will not shrink or crack once cured. Ultimate Gel is 100% waterproof and will not crack or peel, and remains super strong and extremely flexible under the most extreme conditions. Structurally bonds Carbon, Fiberglass, Bamboo, Cork, Foam, Wood, Aluminum, Nickel Sliver, Nylon and much more. The Slow Cure formula has a 30-40 minute pot life and cures in 6-8 hours. The 15 Minute formula has a working time just over 5 minutes and can be fished in as little as 20 minutes. The 5 Minute formula, designed for tip top application, can be released with mild heat for tip top replacement and provides a strong gap-filling bond.

Strength to hold your rod together

Reviewer: A viewer from JACKSON, WY USA

I took a fly rod building class because I wanted to learn how to build a great rod. Unfortunately they ran out of Rod Bond so I used RodDancer. The instructor assured me it would work. When gluing the cork grip I noticed the wetting power was great because the grip slid right into place. I've used the rod quite a bit and haven't noticed any weakness. It dries clear and holds tight. If that doesn't convince you it costs less and does a great job.
