ThreadMaster gives great results

ThreadMaster high build gives a professional looking finish on your wraps and labelling. The obvious comparison is with Flex Coat high build. In the same applications/conditions, ThreadMaster gives you 10-15 more minutes of pot-life and is a little faster in self-leveling and bubble-release. It cures hard enough to fish in a few hours but will remain slightly tacky like a polyurethane varnish for 48 hours or so then curing to a glass-hard finish. FC/hb gets to the glass hard point in about half that time but requires longer rotation time on the dryer. Both take the heat gun to remove excess equally well. I build a fair number of rods (#40 is on the bench right now) so it is important to me to have options on finishes. ThreadMaster high build (like FC-hb) will give you professional-looking results in a single application.

Threadmaster by Lamar is by far the best rod finish I have used. It gives me about 45 minutes pot life (if poured onto flat foil), and requires a lot less time on the drier. It also dries rock-hard in less time than most, which means you can fish the rod quicker than other epoxy finishes. It dries gin-clear and mirror flat.
Threadmaster claims that it will not yellow, and will withstand UV rays a lot longer than other finishes...that alone is a big bonus.
It also remains slighly flexible and will not crack or perish. All in all, a fantastic product. I have used it for a long time now, and will continue to use it with confidence.
