The vise's balance and ball bearing allow it to spin almost effortlessly with minimal friction. It can also be locked in place and used as a conventional vise like those in the Medallion series. Available with a choice of 2 pedestal bases or a c-clamp base for travel, and with either a big game jaw for hook sizes 22 to 5/0 or traditional jaw for hook sizes 22 to 1/0. Infinity material clip included. Special order item. See Shipping Info for details.

I used to tie on a Dyna-King Barracuda Deluxe. Nothing wrong with it. Still a good vise. But the Revolution is just luxurious. No jaw adjustment is nice. Only thing is if you tie on ultra heavy wire hooks like TMC 600 SP you'll be better served with the Jumbo jaws than the Big Game. And if you're tying big stuff like me do yourself a favor and invest in the Royal Clamp.

This vise is built like a brick s**t house. Holds hooks extremely well. The rotary feature has an adjustable friction screw that is easliy changed...even while tying a fly. The only feature on other vises that this one doesn't have is a material holder. Bobbin holder is too far from the jaws to be efficient. I only gave it 4 stars because of these two deficiencies. Overall, still a great vise!

I was a bit skeptical at first that a clamp vice like this could hold a hook tight enough for me to really tie on it but this vice just will not let go. I have actually had 3x strong hooks bend in the vice and it didn't let go.
The rotary feature is great, the ball bearing allows a free spin and I often use it to help shape and dry epoxy flies because I can just spin it so fast that I can actually use centrifugal force to round out the Epoxy.
Regal offers a maintenance program for this vice but I have not needed it, I have tied a ton of flies in this vice and the jaws barely show any wear/tear.
