Get the NORVISE with Auto Bobbin Kit & C-Clamp System in one convenient bundle. The NORVISE Concept is to position the hook on the centerline of rotation and then spin the hook rather than wrap hand over hand around the hook. A thread post, aligned with the center of rotation, permits material to be "spun" onto the hook without the tying thread being wrapped on at the same time. In this bundle, you get the NORVISE with standard small jaws; Automatic Bobbin Kit which includes the Bobbin (w/ceramic tube), three additional machined spools, and a spooling Arbor to load your thread onto the aluminum spool; a C-Clamp System made specifically to work with the NORVISE (2 clamps/package, 1 for the vise and 1 for the thread post); and instructions on a DVD. Three NORVISE essentials in one convenient bundle, made in USA! Overweight item - shipping surcharge will be applied for international or expedited shipping.

Nor-Vise, the Best

I have three other top name vises, and they can't compare to the Nor-Vise. NOTHING can spin on a hackle like the Nor-Vise. It' great for dubbing, strengthing peacock herl, and I can't say enough times, spinning a hackle!
Excellent vice! The automatic bobbin is fantastic. Once you get it down you will find it hard to tie with any other bobbin.
NOTHING COMPARES !!!

I bought my Nor-Vise 4 months ago, with the standard in-line-conversion, the fine point jaw conversion and the tube fly conversion and I tell you at these prices the vise is a steal. I personally don't think there's anything better on the market today. Speed tying is not an issue with me, but control is, and you get great control with the Nor-Vise when you spin it. Not only tension control, which lets you taper bodies easily, but overall control as you eyeball the fly from all sides constantly. I have a little problem with the tube fly conversion as I don't think it works very well with the F.I.T.S. system we use where I come from, the tube has a tendency to come loose and not spin the way I want to. But I'm learning, I will soon master this conversion too. I've been to fly tying shows in the US and in Sweden where I've seen professional tyers use the Nor-Vise, but these guys have used it like a regular vise, with the fine point jaws, which is of course OK, but a waste of this great tool. You can learn a lot by watching Mr. Norlanders instructions on DVD and on U-tube clips. I watch them over and over again. This guy, with his big hands, can tie midges in seconds, without effort. A skillful, pleasant man and a truly great tool! Buy it! I only use my Montana Mongoose on fishing trips nowadays, just because it comes in a handy plastic travel box.
