A specially treated type of polypropylene yarn which not only floats but also repels water, substantially increasing its buoyancy. Recommended by Hans van Klinken, Leon Links and Oliver Edwards, among others, for wings and wing posts. Also great for Klinkhammers which have this parachute material tied down into the underbody, making them float higher. Available in white, dark dun and black. This yarn is so impervious that it doesn't take even permanent marker dye. 1 meter (39") per package.

A different poly indeed

Reviewer: A viewer from LA QUINTA, CA USA

This synthetic fiber exhibits sparkle and that hint of translucence I haven't seen in run-of-the-mill poly yarns. Just enough rigidity to make nice wings on small spinners. The amount of product in a pack is quite small, so don't expect to tie dozens and dozens from one package. Thank you J. Stockard for cataloging this hard to find product.

Top-Notch for Parachute Posts

Reviewer: A viewer from Southern Connecticut

Along with Tiemco Aero Wing, this is the best yarn to use for parachute posts and rusty spinner wings. This color makes a discreet gray wing that is a close match to the natural. It pays to brush the fibers out loosely before tying them in. An excellent, high-floating yarn.

really good stuff!

Reviewer: A viewer from Rehobeth, AL US

This is one of those products that once you use it, you probably will not want to ever be without it. The white color makes an excellent down-wing style on flying ants and "black gnats". Additionally it greatly helps flotation. Teamed up with quality hackle and dry fly dubbing, flies made with this material come close to being unsinkable.

Great product

Reviewer: A viewer from Alpha, NJ US

Both previous reviews are correct. As for it being a little piece of yarn, I don't mind as i only use this stuff on midges anyway. 50"s is plenty when your splitting the yarn in half or even quarters. The silicone does make it float better than your run of mill poly yarn. I recommend it.

perfect spinner wings

Reviewer: A viewer from Clarks Summit, PA US

This material has replaced standard poly yarn as my favorite spinner wing material. Looks great, ties well and floats very well. A great product.
