Which one to choose?

I have standard and rotating ones. I prefer the standard one, although with a small modification: the hook on the end of the instrument is at 90' to the tool itself - I have bent it with pliers so that it looks more like rotating whip finisher. Yet, this WF has a great advantage over the rotating one - it has a spring, which allows you to tie much tighter and therefore stronger knots. I keep using it for bass bugs as well as for midges for that very reason.
Really good and great price.

I bought all three of these so that I would have options for tying. I have not found a problem with any of them. They feel good in my hand and are easy to use. I have made really good whip finished heads with all three of these. They are a great price as well, you will not be dissapointed.
Excellent tool at a great price

(This review is for the rotating whip finisher.) This tool is an excellent value; it is least expensive one I've seen anywhere, but it works very well. The tool rotates smoothly, and the areas where the thread rides are very smooth and do not fray the thread, a problem I've had with another brand of whip finisher. The tool does not come with instructions, but there are good videos on the net (like the one at midcurrent.com).
