Ordered the regular model hoping to use it for floss or UNI stretch and as a backup, but the hole isn't even that big. Even though it says its got a tube for any type of thread or floss, I don't see that happening because I couldn't use the suck technique to get the uni stretch threaded through. When I did get to use it for regular thread I found out in the middle of a fly that it had an abrasion in it anyways. My Dr. Slick ceramic bobbin has a bigger diameter hole than this one, guess I should've spent the extra money for another one or I should have ordered the wire model JS bobbin.
JS Comments: We have had some quality issues with abrasions and have increased our QC. If you have issues, we'll replace or credit your account.
Perfect for the Job

They (many fly tiers) say that you can never have too many bobbins and I agree. I purchased this bobbin for materials and it is perfect for the job. I use it with wire, lead and small yarn. You cannot go wrong with this bobbin, especially for the low price and high quality.
A great economy bobbin.

This is the bobbin I purchased when assembling my beginners fly tying tool kit. It is very inexensive, and certainly gets the job done. I'm sure there are better bobbins out there of course, but taking in to account price, you'd be hard pressed to beat this one. In my opinion, for the beginning tyer, this is the way to go.
Nice, inexpensive bobbin

I keep quite a few different bobbins loaded with thread and these nicely made, yet inexpensive bobbins work great for me. I wouldn't use them for any of the GSP threads, but for normal threads they are perfectly fine.
