Rotary = Revolutionary

I'd tied for a while on a standard, non rotary vise. Applying materials - especially hackle - always seemed doable but not ideal. I read about rotary vises and was a little skeptical about how much it could help.
Boy was I wrong! Having the ability to rotate around the axis makes a ton of difference - at least with my beginner/early intermediate experience. Applying dubbing, hackle and other similar materials is now MUCH easier.

I got mine last week. I have been tying on Renzetti's for about 45 years. I had a hard time with the bigger hooks and tying with deer hair. I love the Barracuda, I also got the large c-clamp with the outrigger, The vise doesn't move at all. This Barracuda is one MUST HAVE vise..........

It was between the Barracuda and a Renzetti 4000. I chose the Barracuda over the Renzetti as Stockard had a rebate so I could get the midge jaws. I really like the midge jaws as I tie in the range of 16s to 24s for trout and 10s and 12s from bream. Holds rock sold and is well made and it should last a life time. The base is very stable with no need to clamp it to a table.
Easy to Use Out of Box

This is my first purchase and use of a rotary vise. I was immediately able to take advantage of the rotary feature without having to struggle learning the knob functions as my other friends experience with other vises. I tie large bass bugs down to 32s with the midge jaws. Great vise.
