Great for quill-bodied flies, including nymphs and dries, wingcases, tails and quill wings. Similar to goose biots but much longer. 1 pair per package.

Lots of Quill for your buck

I use these mainly for bodies on my nymphs. The ones I received were good. Not as pristine as the ones pictured but in acceptable condition. All in all they're good.

Inconsistent quality and number of biots

Reviewer: A viewer from Lexington, KY US

I was not happy with the quality and over all number of long biots found on these feathers. I use turkey biots for larger nymphs and dries where goose just isn't long enough. These feathers from Hareline just arent as good as Nature's spirit. I ordered many colors and atleast half of them only had the long biots on about a third of the feather, the shorter ones that were too thin and of poor quality that come from the top and bottom of the feather dominated. some were even shorter than goose biots. Over all, I would suggest you spend the extra .50 cents and try to find some from Nature's Spirit. Other than dubbing, im very disappointed with Hareline products.

I use it all the time in all different colors.

Ok here is an all time favorite fly tying material. I really really like this product as it allows me to tie flies with a slim uniform abdomen, then dub a very distinquishable thorax. and not to mention just exactly how freeking buggy the abdomen looks wrapped in this stuff. TONS of quills per feather, you can use the short side of the feather for stonefly antenae or tails. I like to use the tips for my tails and then go ahead and wrap my body with the rest of the quill. SOAK THEM IN WATER helps work with it a little easier sometimes.

Much nicer than goose

Reviewer: A viewer from Dallas, TX US

These are much easier to use for biot boddied flys the only thing is they like to snap right as you get to the finishing point.
