Pretty good, BUT....

Reviewer: from Vermont

These quills are easy to use after soaking them in water. I tried hot water first, but the color seemed to bleed out a bit, and when I used cold water the next time the color seemed not to bleed out. The one issue I had with them is that there's a white side to the quills, and when wrapped it's very difficult to get a nice even color across the body of the fly. My BWO's turned out much more white than olive. Black quills would make a nice mosquito body though.

Very Convenient

I had never tried quill body patterns until I ran across this product. Simply soak them in warm water and you're ready to go. I've had a couple great days out with the quill body patterns I'd tied up

This is excellent quills for quill bodies. Will work great on dry flies. Gives a very unique appearance and is durable. Just remember to soak in water before using.

These make nice quill bodies

Reviewer: from New Hampshire

These quills can be used to tie nice bodies. After soaking in water for 15 minutes they are very pliable. I found they did still break if I tried to wrap with the thinnest end of the quill. Moving up the quill a little bit solved the problem. I found that the red and ginger colors are almost identical, at least in the batch I ordered. In my opinion either colors could be used interchangeably.
