a must have

these are a must-have for the trout tier. Aside from the eyes being the only correct way to make stripped peacock herl bodies, this is also the only way to find herl tiny enough for size 22-26 dries and PT nymphs...

a friend gave me some of these and the peacock hurl on these eyes are fuller and more shiny than strung peacock hurl. if you are looking for a slightly nicer look to your peacock patterns, this is it.

I purchased these in black. The feathers are full with most of the herls being 4 to 5 inches long and almost zero broken tips! However, you should not expect "true" color with this dyed herl. The front side of the feathers are purple while the backs are darker and closer to black. We all know how reflective peacock is, and these feathers reflect a dark purple in all lighting. The stems were black but the individual fibers were various shades of black, purple and green. So don't expect true black.
