Description

Liquid Fusion Clear Urethane Glue is 2 ounces of PURE MUSCLE! Dries fast and crystal clear, environmentally friendly, works on almost any porous surface, non-foaming. This water-based clear urethane glue works and looks like epoxy but without the mixing or smell. Great for coating eyes, heads and wingcases. It can be thinned down with water for a more penetrating thin formula for heads or wingcases. 2 oz. bottle.

Great fly tying glue

Reviewer: from Newnan, Ga., USA

I discovered Liquid Fusion a few years ago while shopping a local craft store for fly tying material. I have been using it for fly tying and other uses around the house. It is a mildly thick liquid. It takes a few minutes to set up, air dry & is permanent. So no mad rush and then glue your fingers together. It cleans up with water or a damp cloth. Once it has hardened it is water proof (which is why I bought it for fly tying). A multi purpose glue, best used for adhering fish skull heads, cone heads, doll eyes, sticker eyes, foam bodies, etc. It even works well for gluing seams from leather to Neoprene waders & wet suits. I tossed the Crazy & Gorilla glues and have been using this stuff with success. A 2 oz. bottle will last a while and will not clog or dry up.

Great stuff, not a lot of buildup

Reviewer: from Pottstown, PA, USA

This is great stuff for the money, and just great at any price. Benefits (to me, at least) are that it cleans up with water, so if I get this all over my hands and tying desk, it's easy to clean up. The stuff isn't runny as water, but it isn't quite as thick as epoxy (at least, not the epoxy that I've been mixing 50:50), I'd say leaning towards the epoxy side about two thirds between the two. It's still thick enough that when you place it, it doesn't go absorbing into the entire fly like thinned head cement would - though, if you really wanted to, I've been told you could thin this stuff with water (disclaimer, i've not personally done this, not sure how that would be first hand). I primarily use it for copper johns (the fly pattern) and similar flies, to get a more matte-finished shellback bubble, with no yellowing like epoxy, and only a little opaqueness that I find barely noticeable. No need for UV lights. Stuff has about a 15-20min working time, which is like forever compared to most stuff on the market, a real plus. The biggest plus is that it comes in 2 ounces - huge! - for just 8 or 9 bucks or so. A real steal. OK, so cons. The nozzle is like applying with a fire hose... it isn't focused enough, for my uses. I squirt a dab onto a post-it and work with a bodkin from there. You have enough of the stuff that I can justify doing that, for the price. Yup that's my con - just one. Strongly suggested product, and JS has the going price for the stuff, maybe even a little cheaper.
