I have a Danvise which has a 3/8" stem. I had to drill out the hole on pedestal to fit the stem into it. Otherwise it appears that it will do the trick.
J. Stockard comment: Actually the Danvise stem is 10mm which is a little larger than the standard 3/8" vise stem, hence the need for reaming the pedestal base hole.
This base provides a solid platform for fly tying. It holds my vise well with minimal movement while tying and the rubber bottom protects my table from scratches. The tightening knob is plastic, but seems solid enough.
