I've used three colors of this thread now. Highly recommendable. Works well and seems strong enough to anchor your guides. Colors really shine through after you give it the wrap epoxy.

I purchase three rolls of this brand to complete a specialized color scheme on. Rod project. I was impressed by the way the thread color seems to really shine post finish. It looked great immediately after tying, but you really see what you're dealing with after the finish coat has been applied and dries. It really interacts with the thread and let's the color shine. Also, it felt quite durable despite its small thickness.

Also for Fly Tying

This thread also works well as a body substitute when tying nymphs. Adding or lessening twist in the thread creates different body types. Coat the finished body with Clear Cure Goo Thin.

Thread holds colors well

I have tried both the garnet and blue dun thread. These are excellent colors to use on the matte gray fly rod blanks. The colors were successfully preserved using flex coat preserver. I also used the dark brown on a glossy brown blank.
