All Scissors Should Have Bent Shafts
Reviewer: A viewer from Clifton Park, NY US
I have ruined three pairs of Dr. Slick scissors by knocking them on the floor when picking them up off of my tying desk- Dr. Slick scissors always seem to land point first on the floor when you knock them off of your bench, bending the tips if your floor is a hard surface. These scissors are easy to pick right up. One other advantage I found with these ( I have the 3.5" arrow) is they are more ergonomic than a straight shaft scissor. When you go to make a cut, your wrist position is right where it is supposed to be, no more bending your wrist down and raising your arm up.

These are the best fly tying scissors I have used. The bend not only makes it east to pick up but for me more importantly they are comfortable to hold. I have started tying by keeping my scissors in hand through the whole fly because they fit in the hand so well.
