Terrific all-around thread

Reviewer: J from MA, US

This is a terrific all-around thread and a great value. I've found it great for everything from streamers to dries down to size 24. It is different from UTC threads in that it doesn't flatten out (like a mini-floss) quite like UTC, though also is easier to control to build really compact, tight heads and doesn't fray as much as UTC. If you're looking to build thread bodies, I'd look at either UTC thread or Gordon Griffith 14/0 for smaller bodies.

Favorite thread for bugs

Reviewer: A viewer from BELVIDERE, NJ USA

I tie mostly streamers but my go to thread for bugs used to be UTC 70. Not anymore. I can untwist it to lay just as flat as ultra thread but it seems to be a lot more agreeable with rough finger tips. UTC frays like crazy with even the slightest bit of roughness.

real good thread

is used for tying glo-bugs, color is as expected,& is strong for torquing down on the yarn. would recommend this for glo-bug tyers.

Blue dun thread is a great color

Reviewer: A viewer from Villa Park, IL US

The blue dun thread is especially nice for many patterns. Ultra thread is great for small flies when you don't want to clutter things up with bigger thread. It lays flat for nice smooth bodies.

good all around thread

Reviewer: A viewer from New Cumberland, PA US

my favorite thread for all around freshwater fly tying. Plenty strong enough for bucktail and streamer tying as well as small enough for most dry and wet flies for trout and warmwater fish.
