5 out of 5 stars great Product at a Great Price 01/29/2010
Reviewer: A viewer from Buffalo, NY US
This thread is great. Keeps dry flies slim as can be. My size 30 Trico's never looked so nice. I used to use just thread to build the bodies on these and no dubbing. Now I can afford to throw some black Ultra fine real thin on them to just give them that little buggyness look. I bought this thread in black in white, but I should have just chosen the one of each option. I will be buying more of these spools in some of the other colors I tie small patterns in. give this stuff a try you won't regret it.

5 out of 5 stars GORDON GRIFFITH THREAD IS A MUST HAVE 00/00/0000
Reviewer: RICK DEMARS (RDEMARSJR@STNY.RR.COM) from VESTAL, NY US
I HAVE ALWAYS USED 6/0 OR 8/0 UNI AND BEEN HAPPY, BUT THIS PRODUCT PUTS THEM TO SHAME. IT IS LESS THAN HALF THE DIAMETER OF 6/0, BUT JUST AS STRONG. IT IS A MUST FOR ALL DRY FLY TYERS AS IT KEEPS BODIES SLIM AND EVEN. IT ALLOWS YOU TO GET SEVERAL EXTRA WRAPS ON A FLY WITHOUT THE BUILDUP AND BULK OF THE LARGER THREADS. I WAS WORRIED THE SMALL DIAMETER WOULD CUT THROUGH HACKLES AND WINGS BUT I HAVE NOT HAD ANY PROBLEMS WITH EITHER. THIS THREAD IS GREAT FOR QUILL BODIED FLIES AS IT LAYS ON SO SMOOTH AND EVEN. IT IS SO SMALL IT ALSO HAS ALLOWED ME TO MAKE MUCH BETTER( TIGHTER, THINNER, AND MORE EVEN) DUBBED BODIES. ONCE AGAIN, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS THREAD TO ALL TYERS.

5 out of 5 stars best all around 00/00/0000
Reviewer: Tommy Baxter (grousecreekflies@etex.net) from Holly Lake Ranch, TX US
I have used several brands in the past years and have finally settled on this brand. I use to think they were all about the same, but this one stands out far above the rest for strength and slow buildup.

5 out of 5 stars No Thread Buildup 00/00/0000
Reviewer: Joseph Gaboury Jr (joseph.gaboury@hotmail.com) from Readfield, ME US
I just started using Gordon Griffith 14/0 Sheer Ultrafine Thread after years of using 6/0, and the difference is amazing. I can now tie small midges without half the fly being thread. It's very strong and durable for it's size and very easy to work with.

This is great thread for tying tiny flies. It comes in useful colors and has good breaking strength for it's size.
