IT IS LESS THAN HALF THE DIAMETER OF 6/0, BUT JUST AS STRONG. IT IS A MUST FOR ALL DRY FLY TYERS AS IT KEEPS BODIES SLIM AND EVEN. IT ALLOWS YOU TO GET SEVERAL EXTRA WRAPS ON A FLY WITHOUT THE BUILDUP AND BULK OF THE LARGER THREADS. I WAS WORRIED THE SMALL DIAMETER WOULD CUT THROUGH HACKLES AND WINGS BUT I HAVE NOT HAD ANY PROBLEMS WITH EITHER. THIS THREAD IS GREAT FOR QUILL BODIED FLIES AS IT LAYS ON SO SMOOTH AND EVEN. IT IS SO SMALL IT ALSO HAS ALLOWED ME TO MAKE MUCH BETTER( TIGHTER, THINNER, AND MORE EVEN) DUBBED BODIES. ONCE AGAIN, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS THREAD TO ALL TYERS.
