Unfortunatly, the new tyer (like myself) will need to learn a light hand when using this wire, or else be faced with the frustration of breaking it every 4 turns or so! I tie this same pattern today using the wire as both weight, building the thorax, and as "tying thread". Wire offers many possibilities to the fly tyer and Wapsi Ultra Wire is definately affordable.
