I add this to streamers that are intended to be fished deep or in dark conditions, and also to large nighttime dry flies - just a few strands in the wing and you're good to go! The material is a bit stiffer than I would like it to be for streamer patterns, but that quality makes it that much better when added to dry fly wings.
