Try 6-8 inch Clousers in Olive over White,Tan over White and Green over smoke.With some pearl flash in the middle I catch 1000"s of Stripers and Blues on these flies. Chartreuse over white, and peacock over chartreuse over white are my favorite colors. I use UV Knot Sense instead of epoxy for the head and find it works very well. The Unique Hair has a great translucency and shimmer in the water, which looks very lifelike. It is a little slippery to tie in, and you must be careful to leave enough room aft of the hook eye to securely tie it in. Don't try to make an extra small head when tying with this. Trying to tie in too much at one time is frustrating- the key is small quantities and strong thread, at least 3/0 monocord. Was this review helpful to you?
