It is durable, waterproof and chewy, reducing the fish’s impulse to spit out the fly. Choose from thin, medium or thick sizes: the medium skin is used for general tying applications on medium size flies; the thick skin is great for larger saltwater and bass flies; the thin skin is excellent for overcoating medium or thick skin if marking pens or multiple layers are being used, or to provide a top layer of color or a sense of depth to underlayers’ color. The thin size is also an excellent substitute for Thin Skin. All sizes can be cut easily with River Road cutters, and this skin is perfect for Crease Fly patterns or the translucent soft shells of small crabs made from cutters. Each size of skin has a choice of 8 shimmering colors. 2″ x 6 ½″, 1 piece per package. All I can say is , WOW! What a great product! Let alone the fact that it is a bit less expensive than similar materials, but it is much, much easier to work with and much more forgiving as well. One still has to be patient and take their time, but I would highly recomend this wonderful product! It makes it very easy to create bait fish flies. It stretches very easy, but don't stretch it to much or you'll need to add adhesive to hold it together. The texture is very soft and almost lifelike.
