I use orange antron for the head on my crayfish patterns. I'm not sure if the fish are specifically attracted to it or not, but the pattern nails fish. They usually smack the fly hard w/o hesitation. The material itself has a nice shine and is easy to work with.

5 out of 5 stars Great posts! 00/00/0000

Try using the Antron yarn for posts on parachute flys as well as trailing shucks. I use a 1 inch piece looped under the hook gulper style as a post on my parachute emergers. For flys smaller than size 16, divide the yarn in half. Black posts are surprisingly visible on the water when glare is an issue.

5 out of 5 stars Antron Anyone? 00/00/0000
Reviewer: Matthew Draft (mdraft1@aol.com) from Durham, NC US
Antron yarn is some of the best most versital tying materials out there. it works for tailing shucks, posts, chopped up for dubbing, and the list goes on. no tying station should be without at least a half dozen spools of this amazing material.

Good for shucks, nymph and emerger bodies and is a really good substitute for z-lon.
