This was my first steelhead outfit 2 & 1/2 years ago. The adjustable drag works like a champ. I thought I would upgrade if I caught Steelhead fever. I got the fever, but stayed with this reel. I landed 2 big steelies (15-20 minute fight in heavy current) last Saturday and this reel worked great.
