Each blank delivers maximum durability and sensitivity; its high modulus generates a moderate-fast action, presented in a stealth gray matte finish. Your kit also includes your choice of fine reel seats with meticulously finished wood or aluminum bodies, matching guide set, tip top, hookkeeper and winding check, and a high quality cork grip. The kit also comes with a spool of black Gudebrod rod wrapping thread. (Details of reel seat selections are shown after you select your blank length and weight.) One for myself and four for my adult kids. I was impressed with the quality of the components and the blank. Although the blank color is listed as slate gray it is really the olive green of the St Croix Avid series and therefore the black wrapping thread looks great on the rod.
