Pressure dyed with high quality, color fast dye, this thread is recommended for wrapping guides, decorative diamond wraps on rod butts, or wrapping jigs and tying bucktails. Available in sizes A and D in over 30 colors, 100 yds per spool. Size A has a diameter of 0.006″ (0.152mm) and has a breaking strength of 2.7 lb. Size D is 0.0104″ (0.264mm) and breaks at 7.4 lb. No, it is not a fad... Everybody uses it because it works great. It doesn't fray. It is predictable when covered with wrap finish. It takes color preserver well. In short, it is the perfect rod wrapping thread. I never had a problem with thread breaking. I first coated the the wraps with Color preserver then multiple coats of 1 part rod finish and the rod looks great. I will definitely use Gudebro thread in the future.
