Product Overview:

For those without the time, tools or inclination to make their own base for the NORVISE, this laminated American bamboo mounting board provides a solid, spacious work space and mounting surface for your vise. Pre-drilled for mounting the NORVISE and Thread Post. Also features a hook/bead pocket and non-skid pads to keep it from sliding. Made in USA.

Other Details:

Measures 10 1/2" x 16", made of 1/2" thick bamboo. Mounting holes (one for the vise, the other for the Thread Post / bobbin rest) are 5/64" diameter, countersunk for the nuts and centered 1" from the front and side edges, both left and right sides. The edges and corners are rounded, and a small well is shaped for beads or hooks. (For people who prefer to make their own base, start with a countertop cut-out for a sink, often available from kitchen cabinet installers. A bamboo or maple cutting board, available at home goods stores, also makes a good mounting board.)
