All components of the Peak Vise are high quality stainless steel, hardened tool steel, and brass, with aluminum for the jaw tube link arm. The vise includes a brass tipped set screw and Allen wrench to allow the vise to break down flat for travel. The hardened jaws can hold hooks from size 2 streamers down to #24 midges and the positive stop cam action allows repeatable gripping from the first fly to the last. Chose a pedestal base with a rounded pocket or C–clamp mount for a table edge up to 2 ¼″. Lifetime warranty on materials and workmanship. Other Details: Additional features include an adjustable bobbin rest, a quick change jaw and infinitely adjustable friction knob. I did quite a bit of research and found this vise to be at the top of my list. It's got great style and more important, it performs like a vise 3 times the price paid. After recieving and tying with it, I am extremely pleased with my selection. I also bought the brass screws, this vise is fantastic. Customer service at JStockard is outstanding. I began looking for a new vise and started making price/function comparisons. The PEAK rotary vise ended up at the top of my list. It turned out to be an excellent choice! This all-metal vice is rock solid and very well made. Fine tuning the jaws and the rotary tension is a breeze. The hook is locked into place simply by flipping a cam. One potential negative point is that the vise is supplied with plastic screws for the bobbin holder and rotary tension adjustment. However, I also ordered brass replacement screws which are much more durable (and better looking too). The D-arm is also very handy to have when using the rotary mechanism to wind on dubbing, floss, or ribbing. In short, this vise, especially when augmented with its accessories, is a great tool that won't disappoint!
