Each box has a tough, lightweight ABS plastic shell, a full length piano hinge with brass pins, a lanyard loop and a quality recessed latch system. Closed cell white foam inserts are ripple foam in the base and flat foam in the lid. The exterior color is matte tan with a small J. Stockard logo in dark green. Other boxes I have have open celled foam and seem to grab the hook when you try to remove a fly but this box has closed cell foam and the flies come out so easy. No more mashing flies trying to remove them. The ripple foam is much more "user friendly" than the old style "spring" style metal boxes. Being made of plastic, it is durable and rust proof.
