I use it a lot on salmon flies as well as bass and pike flies. It has great motion in the water. I wrap schlappen like hackle after I tie in tails on deer hair and synthetic bass poppers. It looks great. These feathers are plenty long, in many cases, to tie two flies. The webby hackles really have great action underwater, enhancing many streamer patterns for trout, salmon, and steelhead.
