This product line derives its heritage from the legendary Hoffman grizzly super hackle stock. Whiting’s silver grade has a higher feather density and longer feathers than bronze, and it has a higher proportion of smaller feathers. The average silver grade hackle can tie about 50% more flies than bronze. Brown may be dyed if the natural is unavailable. If you get ever get one you would be able to ties Adams so fast! Seriously, these saddles are excellent but you have a limited size range per saddle. Buy these if you tie a lot of flies in the 14-18 size range. Looking forward to seeing some Whiting Hebert Progrades in here....
