I was surprised to find I was able to tye six Elk Hair Caddis with each feather. The package I received contained a total of eighteen feathers, which works out to 108 flies I can tye from a single package (roughly 12 cents to hackle each fly). Other benefit from theses pre-sized hackles are the uniformity of the flies tied and the speed you can tie them (no time wasted picking out the right size of hackle while tying). Overall a nice product.
