I have 3 of these Metz Grade #1 hen necks -- grizzly, black and ginger/brown. These necks are top quality -- thin quills that don't break, consistent coloring, barbules with a lovely sheen and uniform length, feathers that are long enough for small woolly buggers, etc. These are awesome for soft hackle wets, small woolly buggers, and loads of other patterns. I wish Metz would produce separate ginger and brown variants rather than the ginger/brown variant they offer.
