Product Overview:

XTS Gel Spun Backing allows up to 75% more reel capacity thanks to advanced technology. This exceptionally small-diameter backing is braided to increase the inherent strength of the material. It is actually stronger than steel in equal diameters and it retains 100% of its strength while wet. Designed specifically for fly fishing, the smooth coating has a low coefficient of friction (COF) that minimizes wear on your rod guides. The backing also features extremely high abrasion resistance and is impervious to UV rays, gas, oil, salt, and other elements. Available in 30 lb. or 50 lb. strength, 100 yd. or 250 yd. spools.
