Product Overview:

Evolved from the WindCutter® fly line design, the VersiTip has the RIO non–hinging welded loop design and four interchangeable sinking tips. The smooth, slim welded loops will not foul in the guides. Unlike other sink tips, this line is designed with a thick belly to turn over heavy sinking density tips. Attach either the Clouser taper floating tip or one of the sinking tips directly to the belly. Packaged with the floating tip plus a 15 ft AquaLux Intermediate (1.5 ips 3.8 cm/s), Type 3 DC (3 — 4 ips 8.9 cm/s), Type 6 DC (6 — 7 ips 17 cm/s) and the Type 8 DC (8 — 9 ips 20.3 cm/s) sinking tips (sizes #8 — #10 only.) With the VersiTip line, the fly fisher is always prepared to meet all fishing conditions. Made with a memory–free coldwater coating and core. 5 out of 5 stars This is a great ONE reel option! 07/14/2010

If you only have one reel and one spool this line will provide the versitility you need for fishing various conditions. The different sink rates of the leaders allows you to fish slow and fast water and place your flies where you need to. I use this line to fish streams, river mouths and lakes with my 9 1/2' rods and longer 10-12' switch and spey rods. I fish with them as a normal sink tip line. The main line floats high and the proper tip selection will swing clear of most of the stream debris. If you want a fly line system that casts well and fishes to different conditions this is a great line. Also, using one rod and reel with one line system will make packing a whole lot simpler!
