Italso features the new Extreme Slickness (XS) Technology, creating a super slick, dirt–repelling coating. Both the weight forward and double taper lines have long front tapers for delicate presentations and an extended rear taper for effortless roll casting. The Selective Trout line is good on bamboo and all medium action trout rods. The AgentX coating makes these high floating lines incredibly easy to lift quietly off the water. Rio Gold is golden, but this line has maturity like a beautifully ages red wine. It has character and on my Sage SLT 6wt, it gives me a buzz to cast this line. It has subtleness and it is decisive in its action through the air. Roll casting this line is made easy. It is certainly worth the purchase. Was this review helpful to you? 39 of 80 people found the following review helpful: A fantastic line! 00/00/0000 Reviewer: A viewer from Saskatchewan, Canada I use the camo-colored version of this line mostly for short casts (10-30') on small trout streams on a (moderate-tapered) 7'9" TFO Finesse 4 wt. I've also used it with equal success on casts to 50' on ponds. This is a fantastic line! After an initial stretching, the line has no memory and casts beautifully. The coating is slick and hard and the line shoots well. The camo color of the line is visible on the water and in the air but it doesn't scream "fly line" to the fish like a brightly colored line might. The looped tip does not sink and mine has held up well. This line will do it all -- dries, wets, nymphs, streamers, roll casts, short casts, long casts.
