I tie a lot of deer hair and foam bugs on them, Lefty's Deceivers, and Clouser Deep Minnows. They normally will bend before they break, and I have not ever had one break on a snag or in the vise, as I have had a few very expensive, hard-tempered hooks do. Very easy to flatten the barb without fracturing the point. I like these hooks a lot. They work for almost any style of fly. I also occasionaly tie some classic bass flies on them after I chop off the eye to attach silk gut. They can't be beat for the price.
