Struble’s downlocking D-8, these uplocking U-8 reel seats feature a streamlined design and delicate appearance. With a contoured cork ring, polished retainer and end cap, the U-8 has fine threads along the body to ensure secure locking. With an elegant polished nickel skeleton, you can select from Struble’s 11 exotic wood inserts. Outside diameter of 0.687″, inside diameter of 0.420″, overall seat length of 3.875″. The outside diameter of the recessed portion of the retainer is 0.81″ and will fit our J. Stockard reverse half wells cork grips with 0.81″ inletting. I really like that struble's nickel silver is of much higher quality then many of their competitors. I've had other brands of nickel silver reel seats become tarnished after a few years; whereas my struble seats are still looking great.
