The Steelhead Hammer is an effective Steelhead fly. Many Steelheaders have come to know the Hammer as their Go–To fly, and always keep a selection of extra sizes and colors in their box. The Hammer has had recognized success in the Great Lakes as well as the west coast. The Hammer also makes a great choice for targeting Rainbow Trout and Salmon species as many fish have instict to key in on egg colors and shapes. You can fish the Hammer under an indicator or tight line it through current seams.
