Caddis (sedge) are among the most important, more so in rivers than lakes, and it can give some of the best sport of the season. You can even fish it even when there isn’t a hatch as the fish will often snack off what appears to be a single, lonely adult. Use for trout, char, grayling, lake trout, smallmouth bass, bluegill, summer to autumn.
