This really is a must have. There is so much information packed into this. I have read it and reread it and still want to pick it up and look through it again. Very nice large clear pictures that will help every fly tier no matter what kind of practice you have. I will continue to buy every new eddition.

This is a high quality magazine. As I said in the title for this review, I'm wearing some of the pages from constantly reading and re-reading the articles. There is something for the novice or experienced tyer in this magazine. The format is great also; you can start an article and read to the end without jumping to the end pages. You want regret purchasing.

The photography is excellent and though the authors may not all be well known yet, it is obvious that they have great skill. There's something for everyone in this magazine. The articles range from how to's like Dubbing Techniques by Al Beatty to history with The Flies of Charles Orvis and Mary Orvis Marbury. It's just a great magazine from the beginning to the end.

This magazine offers information related to fly fishing for many fish species. Where other magazines concentrate on trout, salmon, etc; Hatches has offered flys for warmwater species such as bass and panfish. I hope to also see some saltwater articles and flys in the future. Definitely an excellent resource for any fly tier/fisher.
