These started with computer analysis of performance requirements for every part of the blank, allowing elimination of unnecessary material. Advancements in their Aligned Fiber Technology replaced traditional glass hoop fibers with lighter, more responsive graphite, and new construction techniques align and compress blank fibers for maximum strength. Finally, new taper designs for each blank take advantage of these developments in the G5 process to optimize line feel, response and performance. The result is an incredible blank that is lighter, stronger and easier to cast for anglers of all skill levels. Color: metallic olive green. Available in 9′, weights 3 through 10, some of these blanks are special order items as shown in the size selection menu; allow 3 to 4 weeks. The Sage Z-Axis came out number 1...for castability, weight, accuracy, performance and even in the "fun-to-fish" category. It beat G.Loomis, Thomas & Thomas, Orvis, TFO, Winston and Scott. a Friend of mine owns a local fly shop, and we've fished it, and it's beautiful. a "Must-Own" rod! A beautifully tapered blank which is fast in action, allows for numerous uses. Replacing what was an already outstanding rod, the new G5 technology range of Sage rods are hard to pass.
